GroundGuards’ John White announced as DIT Export Champion

We are delighted to announce that John White, GroundGuards’ Major Accounts and Export Sales Manager, has been invited to become an Export Champion for the Department of International Trade’s (DIT) Northern Powerhouse for 2022.

He becomes one of a prestigious group of 400 Champions who will actively support UK businesses with their export, growth and international trade strategies.

John has been selected due his expertise in successfully exporting GroundGuards’ innovative matting solutions overseas, having built up an impressive track record of results for the company.
This includes the sale of GroundGuards’ products into European and Australasian territories.
He will now share these experiences with other UK businesses who also wish to sell into international markets, offering real-world advice, sharing connections and mentoring.
For many small firms this will include how to navigate complicated Brexit processes and procedures, such as understanding new import tariffs and codes, as well as advising on how best to set up legal and financial entities overseas.
John will be invited to speak at DIT export events and webinars, and will offer his expertise to other SMEs within the construction fraternity.
John said: ‘The DIT is a wonderful asset for any UK company looking to expand its horizons.
‘They’ve provided substantial marketing resources and invaluable advice to help GroundGuards realise its international ambitions.
‘And since GroundGuards is a company with a rich history and the credentials to expand into new markets, we’ve been able to continue our investment in product innovation so we can continue to develop the next generation of ground protection solutions that will successfully service international markets.’
The Department for International Trade (DIT) is a UK government department responsible for encouraging foreign investment and export trade.
The DIT’s Northern Powerhouse was originally set up in the North West in 2013 and has since expanded to companies who fulfil a key role in being an overseas exporter from the UK.
